10th NTU Institutional Lion Dance Competition

An annual affair for all the primary/ secondary/ institutes' lion dance troupes/ clubs or wtv.

Been awhile since i last went for competition, gave up for the last year's Taka Zonal, cos lion head was down on Dengue, so got no choice. And last year's NTU, NYP didn't took part, cos we've not enough time/ lion head or tail to compete, so what's the point.

Supposed to meet up in NYP at 1230pm, but i happily reached at 1pm. #whatsnew #foreverlate #imthelatequeen. Skipped lunch, cos it's chicken rice, and i had been telling them "i wanna shit leh" even before i reached NYP.
Changed, and rehearsed for the last time, before heading down to The Cathay, everythings in a rush, cos our lorry was 1hour late as well.

Settled down after we reached The Cathay, and we're the 3rd team to compete!

 Finally a proper group photo with coach and Jiji!

Coach briefed us and tell us which direction the lion, props and instrument should be facing.

Last rehearsal with the instrument side,

Right after we're done with rehearsal, it's our turn to go in.

Everything was swift and fast, after 10mins gone, we're out of the competition ground.

HI! DID U SEE ME THERE????? *insert smirk face*

Mandy's drum stick flew at the start of the competition, and the joke just started from them. We don't blame her, since it's only a competition for the juniors to gain exposure.
IF mandy never drop the drum stick, Niancai won't be playing soccer with Mandy (inside joke), and our time will be lessen, and we'll be lack of time when the competition is finish, and minus point.

SO........
WELL DONE TEAM NYP!!! IMPROVE IMPROVE CLAP CLAP!!! 8.15! We can do better next time!

After competition is over, had a group photo with the troupes under Shifu. But i couldn't get hold the one with Xinyang.

Sadly, Coach and Jiji wasn't in the photo. Ci en and Gary left first, or else it will be a waaaaay more proper group photo with Team SP.

{BACKTRACKED} 27th.

It was 21st February back then, and i have all the plans up on my head for weeks.

Added bf's youngest sissie in FB, and realise she's from SIM-UOL, so that make things more easier, as UOL was gonna to have Prelims paper in a few weeks time THAT time, and his sissie will definitely be at home studying/ revising/ catching up.

So..... the plan was to go to bf's house to leave his birthday present on his table.

Woke up pretty early and headed down to Far East Shopping Centre (NOT FAR EAST PLAZA!!!!), It's the one beside Wheelock Place. 

Over to level 5, to collect he PS3 console i have ordered and paid previously (cos idw to pay on the spot, heart more pain).

It was a shop Aisyah recommended, it's reliable and the consoles there are cheap and authentic as well, so why not?

Brought along 3 cupcakes from Twelve Cupcakes (mind fuck i know!) for bf's sissie for appreciation and her belated birthday!

After leaving the present, headed straight to school for Ong Chin Huat's lesson, and SURPRISINGLY i wasn't late, didn't expect to reach school fast either and i changed 3 buses!!!

After school, met up with the bf at Bugis+ for birthday dinner celebration at Suki-Ya, and walk around before acting AS IF i want to SEND HIM HOME cos IT'S HIS BIRTHDAY, but i got my motive. LOL.

"Fetched" him back home, and as usual... he walk to his room, AND TADAH!!!! HE SAW THE PRESENT.

That moment!!!! OMG I JUST WANNA REWIND AND SEE HIS EXPRESSION/ REACTION AGAIN. SO EXCITING.

He was like soooooooooooo touched (idc if he acted out or what), MAKE ME FEEL LIKE MY PLAN IS TOO AWESOME, AND I AM AWESOME!!!! LOL

A little update of recent stuffs before 'm gone again.

Not being active in any of the social platforms though. I have been doing good (if any of u ever wondered).
School -> Work -> Trainings.

Just cleared both my Sales Strategy and Comms Skills Mid Sem Test last last Saturday (8th Mar), and my Accounting Mid Sem Test on last Thursday (13th Mar).
2 projects were down too, 2 more to go... and 4 papers left before this semester end smoothly!!

Have been actively working at Factorie and not Flor anym, cos Flor doesn't seems to need Taka part timers anym, so what for increasing my pay to $8/hr, when u don't even need me??? ): Have plans to try working back at Duxton and try out Funan, but..... i guess i hafta wait till exams are over in April, by then i can plunge myself back to work 2 jobs again!!

Finally be able to work with some of the new part timers in Fact, all of them are either waiting for Poly to start, or else is waiting for holidays to be over.

Kept drinking Boost recently with Meiling, and finally tried Mango Tango last Saturday (15th Mar) during break!! Met up with Charles outside store for AWHILE (like really awhile) as well, before he headed off for his dental apptm, and me back to store and suck thumb to work. GOOD TO SEE U DA GE!!!

OH! Fact have a new MIT as well, Arif, came from Zara previously.

Back to training again, cos there's competition coming up next Sunday at The Cathay. Still trying to get use with the 套路, since i was only down for 2 training only, let's hope for the best next Sunday.....!! Been long since i last went for competition. ><

really really really have nothing much to update, it's pretty mundane isn't it?!!
Having school later on at 830am is a chore, since it's pretty much a "sleeping" period, with Raymond giving lecture like talking to business people, not reading off the slides, giving lecture like swallowing his vocal cord, can't hear a single thing.

Will update again in a few days time, damn lazy to transfer photo from phone to laptop.

Sorry for super longggggggggggg hiatus (too lazy to blog tbh).

Supposed to be doing my assignments, but my attention span couldn't even last for 10 mins, that's the reason why i am on my space over here.

Day 9 //

Headed for the last lesson of Sales Comms visiting lecture, and went straight down to Serangoon MRT to wait for them to drive me down to Li Hwan Drive.
